You Bring Me Home

from Be Yourself by Mish Songsmith

/

about

A story about love. About standing on the top of the grasslands in the country town of Dunoon NSW, looking at the beauty of the border ranges, out towards Byron Bay Lighthouse, feeling the magic....looking at the sky, feeling the honeymoon dizzy love that was brand new and at the same time talking to her Dad who had recently passed away, suddenly, un-expectedly...this song came in a burst. It describes the love Mish feels for her partner, now of nearly 4 years...and all the wonderful things she brings to Mish.

lyrics

You bring me home and remind to breathe
You bring me back down when I can’t find my feet

V1) Shining like the sun in the most perfect sky
You’re kissing me softly and taking me to heights
You’re lifting me up so high, I never thought I could fly

You bring me home, you bring me home,
You bring me home to me, mmmm

Staring at the mountains so beautiful
Remind me of your beauty, you’re beautiful
You know I love you, words don’t say enough
This feeling has me (STOP) …lost for words

You bring me home, its like coming home
You bring me home, you being me home to me

You move me to be a better human being
Your loving kindness wraps me in oneness feelings
Your strength and courage inspire
You’re all I’ve ever wanted and all I ever want to be

You bring me home, you bring me home, its like going home, its like going home, you bring me home to me

Mmm breathe, mmm just be, mmm feel it deep
Mmmmmm, you remind me to breathe

You bring me home, you bring me home, its like coming home,
You bring me home to me
You move me to be a better human being
